Gemotions

As I walked into the Human Resources office, my stomach began to churn. I had been transferred to a department specializing in employee relations, and I knew what the role would entail. I was going to be dealing with conflict.

My hands felt clammy, and my pulse raced. The very thought of handling difficult situations made me feel a sense of dread. I could feel my muscles tense, my shoulders stiffening. My new supervisor's voice was soft, but the words were a reminder of the task ahead.

I couldn't help but wonder if I was capable, if I could handle the pressure and the emotional strain. It seemed impossible. I felt the urge to turn and flee.
