He hadn't been to The Golden Spoon in years. He'd moved. But the news, from a forwarded email, hit him hard. Closing. Gone. The place where he'd first tasted Pad Thai, where he'd celebrated his graduation.

A tightness gripped his throat. He felt the urge to pace, to do something, anything, to stop the feeling. He found himself pulling up Google Maps, searching for the address. He stared at the screen, the little icon, the place he'd spent so much of his life, now fading from existence. His chest ached. He let his gaze fall and close his eyes.
