"Hello?" Claire called out, her voice barely audible above the drumming of her own pulse. The attic had been neglected for decades. It was a space filled with uncertainty, and she found herself wanting to retreat.

She found a box of old letters, tied with faded ribbon. As she began to sort through them, a strong sense of being watched washed over her.

Each page seemed to breathe secrets into the stagnant air. She wanted to know the stories these letters held, but something held her back.

She decided to leave the box unopened, the details of a previous life now locked away, and turned to leave.
