Gemotions

As Daniel examined the walls of his new home, a sense of unease washed over him. He was a sensible man, but the house felt… wrong. Discovering a hidden room behind a bookcase only confirmed his suspicions. His gut clenched, and he began to perspire, despite the chill in the air.

He found the hidden latch and pulled. A section of the wall silently slid inward, revealing a dark void. He hesitated, his hand hovering near the opening. He didn't want to go in. He felt a primal instinct to turn and run, to escape the suffocating feeling that had taken root within his chest.

He took a shaky breath and stepped inside. The air was close and stagnant, the temperature noticeably lower. He felt his heart skip a beat. Something was wrong, terribly wrong.
