The phone rang. It was his agent. "Great news, Liam! Your song's been picked up for a commercial!" He listened, a knot forming in his gut. The excitement in the agent's voice was a stark contrast to the icy dread that washed over him. He felt disconnected, like he was watching himself from outside his body. The thought of his lyrics being used to sell something, to be twisted and molded for a purpose he didn't control, sent a chill through him. He mumbled a weak response, his mouth dry. He wanted to say no, to stop it all, but the words wouldn't come.
