Lila saw the name in her follower list: Mr. Olsen. The music teacher. Her hands became clammy. She wasn’t sure why, but the idea of him seeing her posts filled her with a strange, unpleasant sensation. She quickly scrolled through her profile, a cold knot forming in her gut.

She didn't know if she should block him, or what to do. The silence of her room was suddenly deafening. She felt a pressure in her chest, a feeling of being suffocated.

She kept checking her phone, expecting to see a message. Expecting something. Anything. The world felt like it was closing in around her, and she felt entirely trapped.
