A bead of sweat trickled down his temple, despite the cool air conditioning of the lab. The announcement that Dr. Sharma was leaving the university had arrived an hour earlier. His hands, usually steady and precise during experiments, felt shaky as he worked. Every pipetting movement felt off. He stared at his notes, the neat lines and calculations now appearing blurred and confusing. His mind felt fogged. He could no longer focus.
