The notification pinged. "SunshineSiren" had accepted her friend request on Facebook. She knew who "SunshineSiren" was. They talked every day on a certain forum. Then she scrolled down the profile and saw a familiar street name. Her street name. She felt a sudden chill, as if the air conditioning had been turned up too high.

Her phone slipped from her grasp and clattered to the floor. She stared at the screen, heart thudding. She didn’t know how to react. She felt a deep-seated need to move, to leave her apartment, to disappear.
