Gemotions

The sun was setting, casting long shadows across the park. He and the woman, Olivia, had been walking for hours. He was feeling a sudden pressure in his chest. He looked at the woman and noticed her new watch. A watch which he had gifted her.

He felt a sudden compulsion to sit, to stop walking. The world seemed to be spinning slightly. The familiar park felt like a hostile environment. He needed a moment.

"So, you and... Daniel?" he blurted out, the question escaping before he could stop it. His throat was dry.

Olivia stopped walking, a look of confusion on her face. Her smile evaporated.
