Gemotions

The patent application on the table was a physical representation of the hole in his stomach. He felt a strange tingling sensation, and his hands were beginning to sweat. He had spent years, an entire career, on this project, and it had all been for naught.

He stood up suddenly, overturning his chair, and began pacing in the tiny room. He ran his hand through his hair, tugging, trying to make sense of what he had just read. His breath came in ragged gasps. He found he could not look at the schematics any longer.
