The notification popped up during English class. “Mr. Davies started following you.” Sarah nearly choked on her water. Her face flushed, heat spreading from her neck to her cheeks. She covertly glanced at the back of Mr. Davies' head, his grey hair neatly parted.

Her breath hitched. She kept replaying the scene in her head – his polite smiles, his encouraging comments on her essays. Now, this. Her stomach churned. A cold dread settled in her chest.

She ducked down in her desk, pretending to fumble for a pen. Her hands were shaking so bad that she couldn't write anything. Her eyes darted around the room, feeling like everyone was watching her.
