"See the Taj Mahal." Eleanor's fingers tightened around the paper. It was tucked inside her husband, Henry’s, old briefcase, hidden under a stack of receipts. He’d never mentioned wanting to go. The very idea of him on a plane, exploring a foreign country, felt bizarre.

Her heart hammered against her ribs. She read on, each entry a new stab: "Write a song," "Learn to play chess," "Run a marathon." He’d barely walked a mile in his life! The room seemed to tilt slightly.

Eleanor sank into a chair, the list still clutched in her hand. She felt…off-balance. A coldness spread through her. Was this some kind of game? Had he been keeping things from her? The walls felt like they were closing in.
