Gemotions

The silence in the apartment was deafening. Michael, usually humming along to music, found himself unable to make a sound. He paced from room to room, touching the walls as if trying to memorize them.

His hands shook as he opened the medicine cabinet, grabbing a bottle of aspirin. He swallowed the pills without water, the dry tablets sticking in his throat. His throat felt tight.

He looked around, at the furniture he had painstakingly chosen, the artwork he had hung. He knew everything was about to change.
