The art fair's vibrant energy usually invigorated Chloe, but today it only amplified her unease. She kept scanning the crowd, her gaze darting from one person to another. It was a compulsion. She’d found out early in the morning: Her graphic design, emblazoned on someone's shoulder blade.

Each brushstroke of energy that the art fair had provided felt like a jab in the chest. She had printed out the photo. The original piece was right here, in her booth. She walked along, her fingers tracing the edge of the canvas.

She watched the people walk by. She walked through each booth. She felt like an animal searching for a predator. She saw a familiar pattern on the shoulder of a passing woman. Her heart pounded.
