Gemotions

Liam found himself unable to sit still. He ran a hand through his hair, over and over, as he looked at the drawing his nephew, Finn, had given him. He felt every nerve ending thrumming. The thing in the drawing looked eerily familiar.

Finn had drawn a character with one enormous eye and a crooked smile. The shape of the face, the angle of the jaw, were all things Liam knew.

He stared at the page, a cold sweat breaking out on his brow. “Who is that, Finn?” Liam asked, his voice strained. He felt like he was standing on the precipice of something.

Finn shrugged. "My friend, Wiggles!" he announced. "He wants to show me his secret garden." Liam just stared, feeling a cold knot form in his stomach.
