Gemotions

A wave of nausea washed over Sophia. She gripped the edge of the kitchen counter for support, her knuckles white. The diary, once a private sanctuary, had become a public spectacle. The words on the screen seemed to mock her, to reveal a self she no longer recognised.

She felt a strange lightness, as if she might float away. She had to concentrate, to remain present. She took a deep breath, trying to regain control.

Her mind raced, desperately searching for a solution. She felt a burning need to shield herself from the world, from the judgment that was sure to come.
