The sleek, modern decor of the social media department was a sensory overload, a whirlwind of color and sound. The rapid-fire chatter, the flashing screens, the constant influx of information -- all of it energized her. Everything seemed important.

She felt as if she was living inside of her own brain, her thoughts moving rapidly. She was instantly drawn to the buzz, the energy. She felt present. She wanted to seize this moment.

Her new manager, a woman with bright eyes and a quick smile, extended her hand. "Welcome aboard," she said. "Let's create some magic." She shook the woman's hand firmly. "Let's do it," she replied.
