Gemotions

The renovators had just finished installing the new kitchen cabinets. Evelyn, usually calm, found herself strangely restless. She found something off, something not quite right. She spent the entire day feeling like she was being watched. She had to fix the feeling.

She noticed a slight misalignment in one of the base cabinets. With a screwdriver, she began to pry it open. The wood felt resistant, then gave way. A hidden compartment, completely empty, revealed itself. Her breathing became shallow. She bent down, inspecting the dark space.
