It was the fifth day of unpacking, and Maria was starting to go crazy. She was in every room, making sure everything was in its place. She was wired. The master bathroom, with its opulent details, seemed the source of that feeling. She'd been drawn to the ornate mirror.

Behind it, a small square door. It was well-hidden. She’d felt a strange pull, a physical sensation, when she was near it. A rush.

She pushed it, and it swung open, revealing a spiral staircase leading downwards. A thrill coursed through her veins.
