Thomas felt a strange energy thrumming through him as he walked the familiar path to his grandmother's house with his sister, Sarah. The familiar view was vibrant and crisp, every detail standing out with an almost unbearable clarity. He'd barely slept the night before, overwhelmed with anticipation.

The front door, heavy and ornate, resisted his attempts to open it. He pushed harder, the muscles in his arms straining. Once inside, the musty air hit him, a wave of nostalgia and unease. He started exploring the house with a restlessness.

Sarah was already at the kitchen table, looking through her phone. "So, what's the plan?" she asked, her voice flat. Thomas, ignoring her, was drawn to the sunroom, which overlooked the garden. The sunlight streamed through the windows, illuminating dust motes dancing in the air. He would get to the plan, eventually.

He crouched down, examining a spiderweb in the corner, noticing the intricate details. He wasn't thinking about plans right now.
