A sharp, almost electric tension coiled within him as Leo stared at the patent denial. His heart hammered a rapid tattoo against his ribs. He felt a tingling sensation in his fingertips, the urge to pace, to do *something*. The automated hydroponics system he'd designed, a solution to global food shortages, already existed. And not just existed, but was being utilized, and profiting. He pressed his lips into a thin line, the corners of his mouth twitching. The frustration was a physical thing, a tightening in his chest. He needed air. He stormed out of his cramped office.
