Gemotions

"This is ridiculous," Robert muttered, his voice echoing in the confined space. He ran a hand through his hair, mussing it further. He'd imagined so many scenarios of getting stuck. This was never one of them.

He jumped at a small sound. He started bouncing on the balls of his feet. He couldn't stay still. He felt the need to inspect everything, to understand the mechanism that had trapped them. He had an idea.

He knelt down, peering at the underside of the elevator car. His thoughts raced. What could be done? He started talking out loud, detailing the problems. Then he stood up, his gaze sweeping the space. "We could…" he said, then stopped. He had so many ideas!
