Gemotions

The dim light of the darkroom enveloped him, a place of quiet concentration. The scent of chemicals, acrid but familiar, filled his nostrils. Every movement was precise, measured, a dance of light and shadow. He felt a powerful urgency to see the images form in the developing tray, to capture the perfect moment. His daughter, Chloe, her face lit by the red glow of the safelight, meticulously poured the developer into the tray.

"Almost there," he muttered, his voice barely a whisper. The image slowly emerged from the darkness. A surge of joy ran through him.
