The photograph of the house, bathed in the artificial glow of the real estate website, was a shock. Emily's breath caught in her throat. 45 Greenhaven Lane. Her childhood home, transformed, but undeniably there. An undercurrent of pure, raw energy vibrated within her.

She quickly zoomed in on the details, seeking the familiar: the crooked oak tree in the front yard, the chipped paint on the window frame. Her pupils dilated, her vision sharpening, as though she were straining to see through the screen, into the past. She rose from the couch, unable to sit still.

"I have to go," she declared, her voice urgent. She grabbed her purse, her movements quick, decisive. There was no time to waste.
