The rhythmic clack of the keyboard echoed in the silent office. Liam barely registered it; his focus was absolute. This architectural design was his masterpiece, the culmination of years of work. He envisioned this building, felt it, breathed it.

A shadow fell across his desk. He glanced up. It was Ms. Davies, his boss. Her expression was… unusual. "Liam, could you come with me for a moment?"

He stood, his stomach twisting. He followed her to a conference room, where another architect, a woman he vaguely recognized, sat staring at a laptop screen.

"We have a slight… duplication issue," Ms. Davies began. The other architect nodded, then spoke in a hushed tone, “our plans, they are exactly the same.”
