Sunlight, a brilliant blade, sliced across the dusty attic. Clara, kneeling amidst forgotten trunks, felt a current run through her. Every shadow, every cobweb, possessed a story. She yanked open a weathered wooden chest, the hinges protesting with a rusty groan. Inside, nestled amongst moth-eaten fabrics, was a worn leather-bound book. Her father’s handwriting, neat and familiar, adorned the cover: *Things to Do Before… Well, You Know.* A small smile played on her lips. She traced the letters, a strange energy buzzing in her fingertips.

The first entry, scrawled in faded ink, read: *Learn to play the ukulele.* A whimsical, almost mocking, laugh escaped her. Dad? With a ukulele? She grabbed the book, a new curiosity blooming within her, and descended the stairs.
