"Condos," Sarah muttered, the word tasting bitter. Her jaw clenched. She stared out the window, at the brick wall of the building next door. She usually loved the view, which had a familiarity that soothed her. Now, everything was wrong.

Her apartment felt cramped, the walls closing in. She jumped up, pacing the length of her small living room. Her heart thumped a frantic rhythm against her ribs. She threw open a window, gasping for air.

She needed data. She needed to know everything about condos, about the market, about *her* building. She rushed to her computer, fingers flying across the keyboard.
