Gemotions

He stood in front of his old bedroom door, hesitant, unsure of what he would find behind it. He pushed it open and found everything just the same. His childhood bed, the Star Wars posters, even the collection of dusty comic books.

He sat on the edge of the bed, tracing the worn pattern on the comforter. He felt a strange lightness, almost giddy. He had spent so long, trying to build a perfect life, and now he was here, home, safe, and… something else.

He realized he could start again. He felt the weight of the past lift.
