"He works in finance," Maria had thought. She imagined a small, cramped office, filled with paperwork. A typical nine-to-five job. But the building "Titan Financial" was huge and impressive. Maria's breath hitched in her chest.

She stood outside the sleek, glass-fronted building. She was late for their lunch date. She imagined that she would see her friend, Alex, again in a simple restaurant. Now, she felt a chill.

Maria had thought that Alex would meet her for lunch in the usual way. She suddenly became aware of a new sensation. She began to walk around the building.
