Liam felt his heart pound in his chest. Ms. Thompson. The art teacher, the one who had fostered his creativity, the one who had shown him the beauty in the mundane. The same woman, with her kind eyes and gentle voice. He felt a strange, almost overwhelming, sense of tenderness.
