He stared at the page, the pixels blurring slightly. A tremor ran through his chest, a rapid drumbeat against his ribs. The headline screamed his name, his high school nickname. Beneath, the familiar, loopy handwriting, digitized, and accessible. It was his. His innermost feelings, his awkward crushes, his pathetic attempts at poetry – all exposed.

He stood up abruptly, pacing the length of his tiny apartment. The air felt thin, his lungs struggling to keep up. He grabbed a glass of water, the cold glass a stark contrast to the sudden fever that flushed his face. He felt…lightheaded.

“Unbelievable,” he muttered under his breath, a strange mixture of disbelief and…elation bubbling within him. He didn’t know how else to describe it.
