The wind whipped around her as she knelt, picking up the discarded wallet from the sidewalk. A sleek, expensive-looking item. A thrill surged through her, a prickling sensation that traveled down her spine.

Inside, nestled amongst credit cards and a driver's license, were several thick bundles of cash. She almost dropped it. The world seemed to tilt slightly, the sounds of the street fading into a muted buzz.

"Oh my God," she breathed, her voice a hushed whisper. She looked around, certain someone would appear and snatch it away. This...this could change everything.
