Gemotions

The doorbell rang. Liam found a large, heavy box on his doorstep, addressed to “Seraphina Blackwood.” The previous tenant, a woman he knew only as a fleeting shadow, rumored to be a very strange woman. He hesitated a moment before carrying it inside.

He grabbed a knife from the drawer. It was filled with packing peanuts and a variety of materials. He pulled out a small, glass vial filled with a shimmering, iridescent liquid. He blinked rapidly.

His gaze flicked around the room, then back to the vial. It seemed to pulse faintly in the dim light. A lightheadedness bloomed in his head, a delightful, almost intoxicating sensation. He felt as if he was viewing a dream.
