From the bus, Liam watched as the demolition crew began their work. The wrecking ball swung, and a chunk of the roof vanished. His heart rate quickened. He hadn't expected to feel… this.

He tapped his foot against the floor, a repetitive rhythm that did nothing to calm the chaos in his mind. He found himself grinning, a wide, almost manic expression plastered across his face.

He let out a long, slow whistle. He suddenly felt a need to see it up close. He was sure it was a great idea. He jumped off the bus and sprinted down the road, his sneakers slapping against the pavement, a mad energy flowing through him.
