Gemotions

The tiny, fluffy Shih Tzu, a cloud of white fur, was back. Again. I watched from my kitchen window as it wove through my meticulously planted petunias, its tiny tail a frantic blur. My jaw dropped. This was the fifth time this week! It hopped over to the bird bath, dipping its snout in for a long, luxurious drink, completely unconcerned with the chaos it wrought.

I threw open the back door. "Well, hello there!" I heard myself exclaim, my voice lighter than usual. I couldn't help but grin at the sight of it. The dog lifted its head, ears perked, and then, inexplicably, started to trot towards me.
