Gemotions

The poodle, a black silhouette against the setting sun, was serenely enjoying a roll in my freshly mown lawn. I had just finished my weekend chore and was preparing to relax with a well-deserved glass of iced tea. I felt a strange tingle go up my spine. My gaze was fixed on the dog, now happily doing somersaults.

"How…?" I sputtered, the words catching in my throat. I felt a nervous giggle bubble up. I actually put down my iced tea and ran towards it, unsure what I was going to do, but my feet did not listen to my head.
