The text message. The email. Both arrived simultaneously, and the information felt like a shock. A quiet picnic with Ben, and a wild concert with his brother, James. It was the same date. He re-read the messages, a feeling of disbelief taking hold.

He let out a sharp, high-pitched whistle. His eyes widened, and he couldn't stop grinning. This was not something he ever expected.

He sat down on his bed, then instantly sprung up again. He began to calculate travel times, trying to figure out if it was even possible to attend both. The whole idea filled him with a strange energy.
