The steel doors slammed shut with a finality that made Sarah’s heart leap. Three hours? Trapped with Mark from accounting? She tilted her head, a slow smile spreading across her face. The fluorescent lights hummed, casting a sterile glow. She felt a tickle in her chest, a lightness. “Well, this is… unexpected,” she said, her voice a little breathless.
