She stared at the screen, her mouth slightly agape. The pictures were crisp, clear, almost taunting. Her childhood home. It was like a dream, a beautiful and poignant dream, but real.

She sat straighter in her chair. The details jumped out at her: the hardwood floors, the newly renovated kitchen, the manicured lawn. The place had been her whole world, once. She closed her eyes for a moment, recalling the sound of the front door closing.

She felt a rush of something, a feeling she could barely contain. It was a yearning, a pulling sensation in her chest. She needed to know if it felt the same. She had to go back.
