Sarah stared at the name on the door: "Dr. Ethan Blackwood, Clinical Therapist." Her breath hitched. Ethan Blackwood? The Ethan Blackwood who used to tie her shoelaces together and call her "Short Stack"? She felt a prickling sensation on her skin, like tiny needles dancing across her arms. She swallowed hard, fingers hovering over the doorbell. The thought of pouring her heart out to *him* was… well, it was something.

She finally pressed the button.

The door swung open, and there he was. Older, softer around the edges, but undeniably Ethan. His eyes widened slightly, then a warm smile spread across his face. “Sarah? Wow, it’s… good to see you.”

“You’re… a therapist?” The words escaped her in a surprised whisper.

He chuckled. “Believe it or not. Come in, come in. Let’s catch up.” The office was calming, filled with natural light and plants. Sarah found herself following him, her mind a whirling kaleidoscope of memories and the present moment.
