Gemotions

The furious banging on the door jolted her. She had been dancing, immersed in the rhythm, lost in the flow of the music. A woman she'd never seen before, eyes blazing, was glaring at her. "The jumping!" she shouted. "It's like an earthquake!"

Her body seemed to freeze. She couldn't believe it. She'd been so sure she was alone. The music, the movement... all felt perfectly contained within her own world. The woman's fury felt so… disconnected.

She felt the heat rising in her chest. She wanted to tell her about the music, the way it moved her, the way it made her feel alive. She wanted to explain the feeling.
