The tiny, cramped apartment felt even smaller now. Daniel felt a lightness in his chest as he stared at the list. His father, who he'd always seen as ordinary, had this whole other dimension to him. He was excited.

"Go skydiving," it read. He felt his hands begin to shake. The man who had been afraid of rollercoasters? Incredible.

He felt a sudden, urgent need to understand this part of his father, to connect with the man he'd never truly known. He reread the list, each entry a fresh discovery.

He knew what he must do now, in his father's honor.
