Eliza stared at the book, its cover featuring a cartoon version of herself, clutching a ridiculously oversized teacup. This was what Daniel, her staid, practical Daniel, had been up to. The title, "The Tea-Drinking Time Traveler," sent a shiver of delight through her. She felt a giggle bubble up, escaping as a muffled sound.

She turned the pages, her pulse quickening with each outlandish chapter. She, the protagonist, battled rogue clockwork contraptions and navigated temporal paradoxes. Daniel had woven a tapestry of adventure, placing her smack-dab in the center of it. She couldn't stop the smile that stretched across her face, pulling at the corners of her eyes.
