The librarian, Ms. Eleanor Ainsworth, examined the antique music box. It had been turned in with a collection of donated items, and the giver had no information about its origins. Carefully, she wound the key. As the delicate melody filled the quiet reading room, she stood frozen, the music box suspended in her hands.
