He found it tucked away in her sock drawer, the paper slightly yellowed with age. "Ride a hot air balloon," it announced, followed by the next line, written in elegant cursive: "See the ocean." He didn't know her like he thought he did.

A strange lightness filled him. He felt as if his heart had expanded, growing to fill the room. The world seemed suddenly vivid and full of possibilities. He picked up his phone, his hands a little shaky.

“I need to book a flight,” he mumbled to himself, already lost in a whirlwind of ideas.
