Liam stared at the email, his eyes practically bugging out of his head. He'd lived in this building for five years, paying rent that was, honestly, a steal. Now... it was going condo. He leaned back in his chair, the office swivel squeaking in protest. He had to be dreaming, right? He looked at the document again, and noticed the bolded, underlined sentences. His heart pounded in his chest, a frantic drumbeat against his ribs.

He slammed his laptop shut, the sudden action startling a nearby coworker. He immediately regretted his actions. He hadn't felt this jittery since his first date with Sarah. He stood up, pacing back and forth, rubbing his temples, and let out a long, low whistle. This was a seismic shift. This was…wow. He needed a walk. Immediately. He needed a very strong cup of coffee. He needed… to breathe.
