Gemotions

The flyer, plastered on the elevator door, was a revelation. It was as if a switch had been flipped. The mundane suddenly became magical. Henry let out a long, low whistle. He ran his hand through his hair, the gesture automatic, and then stopped. He had never considered owning this apartment. Now, the prospect seemed not only possible but… exhilarating.

He opened his apartment door, then quickly closed it again, and leaned against it. He felt like he was floating. He ran back out the door, then turned around to admire the entrance. This building. This home. He felt a giddy lightness, a feeling he hadn't experienced since he was a child. He wanted to tell everyone he knew. He felt… wonderful.
