The notification popped up on Ava’s phone while she was at work. “Your essay has been featured!” She almost dropped her phone. The words blurred before her eyes as she quickly tapped the link.

She had written about her dream to become a doctor. She'd struggled with imposter syndrome throughout the college application process, but now, here was her writing, prominently displayed. She felt her hands start to shake.

A strange lightness filled her. She wanted to shout. She bit back a laugh. She had to call someone, but who? She'd never felt like this before.
