The sunlight glinted off the tow truck's chrome, a visual spectacle that made Emily want to clap. There it was, the inevitable consequence of a few too many cocktails the night before. She'd barely remembered pulling into the driveway, let alone the parking regulations.

She crossed her arms and let out a soft snort of delight. The poor tow truck operator looked utterly defeated, wrestling with the car’s stubborn parking brake. He seemed to be sweating profusely. She might even offer him some water when he was done.
