Dusty found the card wedged between bills and junk mail. He flipped it over, a slow grin spreading across his face. The anonymous nature of it, the generic “Happy Birthday” scrawled inside, was undeniably delightful. He pictured the sender, whoever they were, hastily grabbing a card at the last minute.

He let out a short, airy chuckle and shook his head, the card clutched between his fingers. He imagined all the possibilities. A secret admirer? A forgetful relative? Maybe he'd frame it. He strolled into the kitchen, already planning his morning coffee, the card a little treasure.
